New Lufthansa Group flights starting October 28

Barbados is expanding its reach in Germany with a new thrice-weekly direct flight from Frankfurt to the Grantley Adams International Airport. Flight LH 5432, which is scheduled to commence on Monday, October 28, 2019, will run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays using an A330 aircraft which seats up to 330 passengers.

New CAL Direct Flight from Kingston
Business and leisure travellers will soon have the opportunity to enjoy a new, twice-weekly direct flight from Kingston, Jamaica to Barbados, when the first scheduled Caribbean Airlines flight takes place on April 15, 2019. This new service will connect the two destinations every Monday and Friday, and provide an additional 300 seats.

Connect Barbados 2019 registration underway
From May 1-4, Barbados will host its annual Connect Barbados Conference, which is an opportunity for tour operators and airline partners to meet with local service providers in a series of B2B meetings. Hosted at the Hilton Barbados Resort, this year's theme 'Breathing Power into Business Connections' focuses on and surrounds our celebration of the Year of Wellness and Soft Adventure. Participants will get the amazing opportunity to tour the island and bask in the total Barbados experience.

Eight months of Food and Rum!
For the 10th anniversary of the Barbados Food and Rum Festival, #TeamBTMI will be teasing the taste buds of both locals and visitors with the commencement of the "Monthly Food and Rum Pop-ups". Launching this month, the start of something new and exciting will be cooking on the white sandy beach of Copacabana Beach Club.
A prelude to We Gatherin' 2020, where a Food and Rum event will be held every month, we're hosting a Food and Rum pop-up each month in a different parish until November 2019. We see no better way to applaud 10 years of Food and Rum than with cocktails and extraordinary dishes by our very own talented mixologists and chefs.

Bajan dancers set for NYC stage April 3rd
|

Today, Keisha Dowridge, Zhané Padmore, Nandi Yard, Aisha Comissiong, Asha Weekes and Shameka Walters will set fire to Barclays Centre with the Brooklynettes Dance Team for Bajan Night.
Stemming from their partnership with #TeamBTMI, the dance team held auditions outside of Brooklyn for the first time in history, right here in Barbados. Initially, two lucky dancers would have received the opportunity to perform with the dance team. However, after seeing the wealth of talent on show, the Brooklynettes selected six dancers to come to New York to perform.
We met up with three of the chosen ladies before they head off to New York and they expressed how thankful they were to the BTMI and the Brooklynettes for making their dreams a reality. To hear what they had to say, watch the videos by clicking the thumbnail above.
